Founder's Bio

Y.G. Sun
A veteran of the mobile app space, Mr. Sun’s career encompasses all aspects of the mobile app ecosystem.
After concluding his undergraduate studies, Mr. Sun started his gaming career with Electronic Arts. As part of EA Mobile’s product management team, Mr. Sun worked on several iconic franchises including Scrabble, Monopoly, Need for Speed, and FIFA Superstars. During his two year tenure at EA, Mr. Sun saw the rise of F2P mobile games and the huge potential of mobile advertising.
Mr. Sun leveraged his gaming experience and joined Adparlor, a Toronto based Facebook advertising firm. After familiarizing himself with the nuances of mobile advertising, Mr. Sun moved to the San Francisco Bay area, joined Aristocrat and spearheaded growth for Heart of Vegas, a top 5 grossing social casino app. During his tenure at Aristocrat, Heart of Vegas grew from $10mm annual revenue to $150mm in a span of two years. Mr. Sun led a team of media buyers and managed a 8-figure marketing budget.
After the success of Heart of Vegas, Mr. Sun was heavily recruited and decided to join Nexon, a Korean gaming giant, and helped them built a social casino app. Casino Frenzy grossed over $500k against a $1mm budget within five month of launch.
Seeing the repeated success of social casino apps, Mr. Sun felt it was the time to start his own studio. With nothing but a presentation in hand, Mr. Sun traveled back to China where his professional network was almost non-existent; met with many investors and gaming execs; raised $500k seed round; assembled a local team of 5 engineers and 7 artists and delivered a game on time and under budget. Players’ Club Casino was eventually sold to several larger social casino publishers.
After spending two years overseas, Mr. Sun returned to Silicon Valley and was recruited by the CEO of Super Free Games to start something new. Super Binge Media was a mobile app startup focused on the fiction chat app space. Armed with $500k seed investment, Mr. Sun worked with a team of remote engineers and delivered the app within four months of inking the partnership. Super Binge Media was eventually absorbed by Super Free Games.
Mr. Sun’s extensive mobile experience, coupled with two start-up attempts, put him in the position to maximize the chance of success and launch the next hit mobile app.
Mr. Sun holds the degree of Honors Bachelor of Mathematics, Statistics & Actuarial Science from the University of Waterloo. He passed multiple professional actuarial exams during his undergraduate studies.
